LUDHIANA, MARCH 10, 2018: Police Commissioner RN Dhoke on Saturday has issued various prohibitory orders to maintain the law and order in the city.

Exercising the powers vested under Section 144, Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, Police Commissioner has ordered the owners of all fuel stations, LPG Gas Agencies, Marriage places, Malls and Money Exchanges falling under the jurisdiction of Commissionerate to install CCTV cameras within a month to ensure security.

In another order under section 144 of the CRPC, Police Commissioner said it has been noticed that when an old vehicle is being purchased, the buyer usually ignores to get the documents transferred to his name.

He said it is a general tendency among criminals that they buy old vehicles and use these vehicles to commit crimes thus put earlier owners in the difficulty as it has also been witnessed in many cases.

He asked the buyers of old vehicles to transfer the ownership and get the vehicles registered on their names within 30 days.

He also banned the sale/purchase and storage has already banned in the jurisdiction of city police. He said that this string is very harmful and can easily cause injury to animals and humans. The Police Commissioner also ordered that the violators of the orders would be dealt with an iron hand.

He said that the orders would be in force for next two months.
