PLEDGE: Khatri Welfare Sabha stands against anti-social elements

Ferozepur, January 6, 2013: A meeting of Khatri Welfare Sabha, Ferozepur was held, in the office of Ferozepur Welfare Club, under the patronage of Parmod Kumar Kapoor, president to discuss the problems being faced by the Khatri community.

In the meeting a detailed discussion was held to fight against the social-evils and expressed deep concern on the atrocities on girls and their exploitation by unscrupulous persons in the society.

On this occasion, Tarsem Singh Bedi was unanimously elected president of Khatri Welfare Sabha.

Pawan Kumar Bhandari was elected as general secretary and Parshotam Lal Mehta as Cashier.

During the course of discussion in the meeting, a strategy was also formulated to deal with the problems being faced by the community.  All the members pledged to stand against the anti-social elements and extend their services for the betterment of the community besides curbing standing against the various social evils by putting their maximum contribution.

Speaking on the occasion, Parveen Malhotra, Pardeep Bindra, Gurmeet Singh Kapoor, Surinder Beri, Raj Rishi Handa said, appealed to the district administration to adopt the strict measures to stop the atrocities on the girls. 

They further said that besides installation of CCTV cameras outside the girls’ schools and colleges for their safety, the cameras should also be installed at the main crossings in the city, bus stands, railway station etc. to put a check on the activities of the anti-social elements.
