The Students Welfare Organisation (SWO) of the Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF), Nauni organised personality enhancement training sessions for the final year students of the university. The main objective of the training is to teach participants to work with various professionals and groups. The programme aims to enhance communication and interpersonal skills of students. The Department of Business Management of the University coordinated the programme.

The programme was inaugurated by SWO Dr SK Gupta who discussed the role and importance of personality in career building. Manjula Sularia, CEO and Life Skills Coach of the Chandigarh based The Transformers- Value Creators conducted the training. Various topics like confidence and attitude building, behaviour and mannerism, personality and grooming, employability skills, communication, emotional intelligence, team building and effective leadership were covered during the sessions. Practical sessions and student engagement activities were also held.

Programme co-ordinator Dr KK Raina said that the programme was spread over four days for two batches consisting of 187 final year students of M Sc Horticulture, M Sc Forestry and PhD. Based on the positive feedback from the students, more such trainings have been planned in the coming days. Dr PK Mahajan, Dean College of Forestry, was the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony.
