PCB, WICB elected to ICC Executive Committee

Melbourne, June 28 (IANS) Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi and West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) president David Cameron were elected to the five-member Executive Committee of the International Cricket Council (ICC) at its two-day Annual Conference which ended here Saturday under its first chairman Narayanaswami Srinivasan.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Cricket Australia (CA) and England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have permanent representation in the Executive Committee while PCB and WICB were elected by the ICC Board to the five-member body.

The committee will be chaired by CA's Wally Edwards and will include BCCI's Srinivasan and ECB's Giles Clarke with ICC Chief Executive David Richardson serving as an ex-officio member.

Clarke will chair the Finance and Commercial Affairs Committee (F&CA) which will also include Edwards, Srinivasan, Nazmul Hassan (Bangladesh) and Jayantha Dharmadasa (Sri Lanka) with Richardson again an ex-officio member.

The Governance Review Committee will be chaired by New Zealand's Martin Snedden and will include Peter Chingoka (Zimbabwe), Hassan (Bangladesh), BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel and Imran Khawaja (Singapore) with Srinivasan and Richardson as ex-officio members.
