PAU Transfers Technology For Guava Processing

Ludhiana, February 8, 2016: The Department of Food Science and Technology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) transferred a technology for ‘Processing of Guava into Pulp’ to Taranjeet Singh, a progressive farmer and fruit grower from Sri Muktsar Sahib. The technology was transferred at Food Industry Centre, PAU. Dr Poonam Sachdev and Ms Jagbir Rehal imparted hands-on-training and demonstrations on guava products such as squash, nectar and ready to serve beverage beverages. The Head of the Department, Dr Amarjit Kaur informed him about machinery, FSSAI licensing etc. for setting-up processing unit at Muktsar Sahib.
