PAU Scientist Dr H.S Rattanpal Awarded International Fellowship

Ludhiana: Dr H.S Rattanpal, Senior Scientist, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has been awarded prestigious International Fellowship under Netherlands Fellowship Programme for attending the course on “Horticulture Sector Development in Emerging Markets,” organised by Wageningen University, The Netherlands from May 9 to 27, 2016. This course was attended by participants from 10 countries.

During this fellowship, insights were provided for domestic and international horticultural market systems. Besides, in-depth knowledge on value chain analysis, and management principles and integrated strategies for horticultural development was imparted. Good agricultural practices and quality issues in international trade of horticultural commodities were also discussed. In addition, extensive excursions to horticultural farms of Holland were undertaken.

Earlier, Dr Rattanpal has also visited Pakistan and Italy to present papers on fig and citrus.
