Chandigarh, October 18, 2016: Reputed singer, music composer, lyricist and actor Sh. Shekhar Sen would deliver the
prestigious PU Colloquium on October 21 at Panjab University (PU).
Sh.Shekhar Sen would speak on the topic of “Meri Kalayatra" at 3 PM at the Dr.S.S.Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (Dr.SSB UICET) Auditorium. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Arun Kumar Grover would preside over the
colloquium. Entry is open and no passes are required for attending the colloquium.
“Padma Shri” Awardee Sh. Shekhar Sen has done more than 1500 shows all over the world & released more than 190 cassettes & CDs. He has composed music for many TV serials & sung for the record breaking serial ‘Ramayan’. His first musical mono act was ‘Goswami Tulsidas’ (1998) and his second, ‘Kabeer’. ‘Vivekanand’, his third, represents yet another milestone for this gem of an artist dedicated to bringing the ageless and universal message of Hinduism to discerning people everywhere.
Sh. Sen was the first artist to perform his famous mono act musical play ‘Kabeer’ at Lok Sabha on May 4, 2005. He was awarded Sangeet Natak Academi Puraskaar at Lucknow. He has been a member of Film Censor Board for 4 years & also served as an expert for various government bodies.
