Jalandhar, May 28, 2016: HMV Collegiate School organised 7 days The Finishing School its collegiate students. The students were given training of different things in these 7 days. More than 100 students participated in this Finishing School. The students learnt about gift wrapping, block printing, dance, hairdo, mehndi, makeup, nail art, embroidery, communication skill, cooking and baking snacks. Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of teachers for organizing Finishing School. Addressing the students, she said that HMV Collegiate School works on the ideology of overall development of the students. Learning extra things is very important for students. This Finishing School will surely prove to be of great help for them.

Officiating Principal Mrs. Renuka Bhatti also congratulated the students on successful completion of the Finishing School. During Finishing School, Mr. Aftaab from Firing Shooz Dance academy taught the studnowents about Zumba and Masalaa Bhangra. Mrs. Cheena Gupta from Fashion Designing department acknowledged the students with the art of sewing and surface ornamentation like flower making, ribbon work, patch work and applique work. Ms. Mukti Arora from Cosmetology department gave tips on makeup, hairstyling, mehndi, nail art and personal grooming. Mr. Neeraj Aggrawal from English department delivered a lecture on communication skills. He told them about common errors in interview. He emphasized on the pronunciation of English.

Mrs Sunita Saggi head of home science department gave tips of cooking & baking. Ms Shama Sharma told the students about gift wrapping, blook printing & screen printing. The students were awarded certificates on the completion of the finishing school. On this occasion incharge collegiate school Mrs Sunita Dhawan in charge the finishing school Dr Anjana Bhatia & Co in charge Dr Nidhi Bal were also present.
