PAU Retirees Welfare Association demands immediately release of LTA

Ludhiana, August 10, 2015: A mammoth general body meeting of PAU Retirees Welfare Association held today in the Students' Home (Hall) in which more than 145 retirees took part. This meeting was presided over by Sh.Zila Ram Bansal.
Addressing the gathering Mr.Bansal, President of the association demanded the immediately release of LTA to be paid in July, 2015. He also demanded from the Punjab Government that arrears of 19 month due from January 2015 and 6% installment of DA be released without any further loss of time. He also emphasized that free medicines be provided to the pensioners from the PAU Hospital. Mr. Bansal told that we are having a dialogue with the insurance companies so that the pensioners are covered in cashless mediclaim policy. Bansal also told that Fortis Hospital Ludhiana has given a facility for about 4 diseases @ PGI to the PAU Pensioners. For other diseases he told that some about 20% discount was assured by that hospital. 
Chairman of the association Sh. D.P. Maur told that the dialogue with the Punjab Government for providing cashless treatment to the pensioners is very brisk. Mr. Maur also told that the demand for fixed medical allowance from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1500 is also in progress with the Punjab Government. Maur further told on 2nd September there will be all round strike in India and requested the pensioners to participate in large number. 
In a garland ceremony for honouring the newly enrolled members of the association were honoured with their families by different pensioners leaders. These members are Sh. Balbir Singh, Gurdev Singh, Nitya Nand, Mangat Ram, Prem Nath, Krishan Lal Morya along with his wife, Brij Mohan. All audience heard the speakers with keen interest and most of the speakers were from the general house. Mr. HBS Bhatia (senior leader), RC Soodan (a veteran leader), PS Gill Ex President PAU Employees Union, Amritpal Singh, Anoop Singh, Narinderpal Singh, Charanjit Singh Grewal, Com. Joginder Ram, Ajit Singh Cheema, Jagga Singh Doabia, Labh Singh, Sohan Singh, RS Rangila, Birbal, Gurmukh Singh, Bhagwant Singh, TS Sangra, Muni Lal. In the absence of Mr. Satish Sood general secretary, Mr. S.S. Sekhon conducting the stage for the first time in a nice manner.
In the end Mr. Bansal requested the audience to do pranayam, yoga, adopt naturopathy so that they can remain fit. He also brought to the notice of audience that Ayurveda is in a position to cure so many incurable diseases in the modern science. He also requested them to make more members. He requested the pensioners to come in such a large number on 9th September 2015 to attend general body meeting.
