FDP on Emerging Trends in Management and IT Education being inaugurated at KCL-IMT, Jalandhar on Monday.

Jalandhar, December 14, 2015: A seven  day Faculty Development Program has been inaugurated at KCL-IMT to hone the teaching and research skills of the faculty members of Management and Information Technology .It is for the first time that FDP has been jointly sponsored by IRD India and Indo-Global Chamber of Commerce ,Industries and Agriculture.
Dr. Karamjit Singh Rai acted as Chief Guest for the event, who currently serves as Professor Emeritus of Biological Sciences, University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA. He is Founder Head, Department of Biology, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Dr. K. S. Rai received his M. Sc. (Hons. School) in Botany from Punjab University, Chandigarh and Ph.D from the University of Chicago, USA. Dr. Hardev Singh, Head, Business Management, University of Nottingham, UK was the Guest of Honor
The inaugural session began with lighting of lamp by Dr. K. S. Rai, Dr. Hardev Singh, Sardarni Balbir  Kaur (President, Governing Council), S. Jaspal Singh Waraich (Joint Secretary, Governing Council), Sardarni  Kartar Kaur Chitti (Member, Governing Council), S. Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director, Academic Affairs), Dr. S. K Sood (Director, KCL-IMT), Prof. G. K. Jain, Prof. Ramandeep Singh Deol (HoD, Management), Prof. Kamal Nain Sharma (HoD, IT), Dr. Inderpal Singh ( Associate Professor and  Head Department Media & Public Relation) and Prof. Anand Nayyar. The resource persons of the day were Dr. S. K. Chadha (Punjab University, Patiala) and Dr. Rajesh Verma (Dean, Lovely Professional University). Teachers and researchers working in various colleges and professional institutes came to attend the program.
Dr. S. K. Chadha delivered informative lecture on Team Building. Team building consists of various types of activities used to enhance social relations and define roles within teams, often involving collaborative tasks. This activity is intended to inculcate best practices for accomplishing tasks in a team-based environment. Dr. Chadha conducted entertaining management games to illustrate the topic. Dr. Rajesh Verma spoke on Case Study Analysis that how to write a case study, how to get it published in leading journals and how to teach case study in class.
The program was very useful and interesting. The participating faculty members appreciated the conduct of the event.
