Ludhiana, January 12, 2015: The Directorate of Extension Education of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will organise a “Research and Extension Specialists’ Workshop for Fruits, Mushroom, Agro-forestry, alongwith Post-harvest Management, Farm Power and Machinery, Food Technology and Agri-Economics” on January 22 and 23. During the workshop, extension specialists will have fruitful discussions with research scientists regarding PAU recommendations and researchable issues.
Meanwhile, two-training courses will be conducted by PAU. Giving details, Dr R.S. Sidhu, Director of Extension Education said that a training programme on “Self-Employment in Farm Based Activities” will be hosted for rural educated youth of Shillong (Meghalaya) at Kairon Kisan Ghar, PAU from January 14-17. Another course on “Machinery and its Safety for Different Farming Operations” will be held from January 14-16, he said. The engineers of Agriculture Department, and scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendras and Farm Advisory Service Scheme will participate in the course.
