Ludhiana, February 18, 2015: A seminar on “Extension Culture and Innovations” was organised by the Department of Extension Education at the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). Faculty and students of the Departments of Extension Education, Home Science Extension and Communication Management, and Economics and Sociology participated in the seminar.
The Chief Guest, Dr M.S. Kang, former Vice-Chancellor, PAU said that the seminar focused on the philosophical side of extension education. He stated that collective thinking of farmers, researchers and extensionists can bring a revolutionary change in Punjab agriculture.
Dr K.S. Gill conducted an interactive session on using collective intelligence in extension education and emphasized on a paradigm shift from system thinking to poetic thinking. He stressed on using the extension methodology based on articulation, cross appropriation and reconfiguration while conducting extension research.
