PAU to hold function dedicated to Shaheed Kashi Ram on March 27

Ludhiana, March 25, 2015: The Young Writers Association of Punjab Agricultural University is organising a literary programme dedicated to Shaheed Kashi Ram, the founder activist of Ghadar Party Movement for the freedom of India. Giving details, the President of the Association, Dr. Jagdish Kaur informed that on this occasion, the book “Gatha Shaheed Kashi Ram Ate Ghadar Lehar” authored by Advocate H. S. Arora of Punjab and Haryana High Court will be released. She added that a seminar on Ghadar Movement and the screening of a documentary, prepared by Canada based documentary producer Joginder Kalsi, on the life and contribution of veteran Urdu poet, Sardar Panchhi will be held. The function is dedicated to Shaheed Kashi Ram.

Giving details, she said that the programme will be organised at PAU on March 27 at 11 a.m. in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Auditorium at Students Home, in collaboration with Lok Virasat Sanstha, adding that a dedicated Kavi Darbar will also be held in which Sardar Panchhi, Joginder Kalsi, Prof. Gurbhajan Singh Gill, Dr. R. K. Dhaliwal, Dr. Jagtar Singh Dhiman, Trailochan Lochi, Prof. Ravinder Bhathal, Jaswant Zafar, Harbans Malwa, Manjinder Dhanoa, Gurcharan Kochar, Dr. Devinder Dilroop, Dr. Gulzar Pandher and student members of PAU Young Writers Association will participate. This will be an annual event at PAU, she said.
