Parton felt honoured by Adele's offer

Los Angeles, June 30 (IANS) Country singer Dolly Parton says she was "so excited" and "honoured" when Adele expressed desire to collaborate with her for a song.

Parton has appreciated the "Skyfall" hitmaker and fuelled speculation the duo could join hands, reports contactmusic.com.

"I was so excited a year or so ago because I was hearing she was coming to Nashville and wanted to write with me. I was honoured to find out she's a fan because I think she's spectacular," Parton was quoted by The Sun as saying.

She also had kind words for fellow star Taylor Swift.

She said: "I know her and her family. She's a great girl and a big talent. I admire her a lot for how she's handled herself."
