An Orientation Programme being organised for B.B.A students at SCD Government College, Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, August 26, 2015: The Business Management Club of SCD Government College Ludhiana today organized one day orientation programme for the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) students. The programme was focused on the sharpening of Managerial . IT and Professional skills of the students to make them employable for the Industry. The programme comprises two technical sessions. The First session was conducted by Dr. Ravi inder Singh, Associate Professor and Head, University Business School , Panjab University Regional Centre Ludhiana. DR. RaviInder spoke on the creative potential of the students and the role of creativity and Innovations in Nation’s Development. He said played with the students various Management Games to explore their creative abilities. He said that Innovation is the key word in every one’s life and persons with the innovative ideas will be able survive in future. He cited various examples of great people who were successful because of their creative and innovative abilities . The Second Session was taken by Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Head Department of Commerce, Government College for Girls Ludhiana. She spoke on the Success Mantras one’s life. She narrated how the successful people behave and what should be the strategies for getting the success in life. She cited various success stories of the great business people to prove her view point. In the end she also narrated various career opportunities for the management graduates to prove their worth in life. While speaking on the occasion the Finance Secretary of the Higher Education Institute society Dr. Ashwani Bhalla said that to get the success in life every student of the B.B.A should possess specific skills so that they can become the valuable resource for the country. In his concluding remakrs Principal of the College Dr. Dharm Singh Sandhu said that Higher Education must be skill oriented and students must develop requisite skill to survive in life. He announced that college is going to start Finishing school soon in which final year students will be trained to improve their personality to be employable. The Programme was ended with a vote of Thanks by Dr. Gursharanjit Singh Sandh, Head Department of Computer sciences and Technology.
