Ludhiana, June 4, 2016: Conveying extreme displeasure at AAP lawyer’s plea against fast hearing of on defamation case, said Mr.Bikram Singh Majithia, Revenue Minister, Punjab said that “opposing application for expeditious hearing of the case exposes mendaciousness of AAP”. He added that if the statements of AAP leaders had even an iota of truth then they would have supported and appreciated the move for expeditious disposal of the complaint where as on the contrary they are opposing it.
He said that by opposing application for expeditious hearing of the defamation case AAP has proved that it is on sticky & weak ground. He said that AAP stands exposed and it is clear that it is playing politics on the matter . Mr Majithia said that AAP is trying to run away from the matter now but will not be allowed to do so. He laid stress on the fact that at the end “truth and justice will prevail.”
He said that during the very first hearing of the application filed for early proceeding of the case against Sanjay Singh, his lawyer expressed total reluctance towards it by stating ‘that all cases take long to reach a conclusion’. Mr. Majithia said that it is very unfortunate that the AAP party was showing disdain for the court and added that their argument is self evident of the fact that they want to dilly dally the matter.
Mr. Majithia said that AAP fears that its malicious agenda and cheap political gimmicks would be exposed if justice is done in time through the day to day hearing of the trial .
In a statement here, Mr Majithia alleged that AAP' politics was based on lies and their strategy was to garner attention by raking up irrelevant issues. They are in a habit of unleashing false campaign of scurrilous and defamatory statements and expect to go scot-free, said he. Mr. Majithia said that this strategy will not work in Punjab as Punjabis can read between the lines and are bold enough to challenge them in court.
Mr. Bikram Majithia said that ‘I want to let this message go loud and clear to AAP that if they are honest and pro Punjabis then come and have grit to face the facts; backstabbing, tarnishing the reputation, mud slinging and leveling malicious allegations may have worked in Delhi but this stratagem will fail in Punjab rather it will backfire at AAP. Later or sooner justice will be done and they will have to bear the brunt.”
