Only 6.16 % TGT teachers could clear TET test in Himachal

Dharamshala, April 27, 2016: In the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the HP school education board this year the result of the trained graduate teacher (TGT) Art was the extremely poor. Only 6.16 % of the appeared teachers could managed to clear the test. The secretary of the board Dr.Vishal Sharma said in a statement today here that only 2129 teachers declared pass out of 34546 who appeared in Feb this year in the exam conducted by the HP Board of School Education.
Sharma said, “The pass % of the TGT (Med) is also very poor , where 461 qualified out of 4993 ,making the pass % to just 9.23.” According to the statement of the board the Junior Basic trained teachers (JBT)had a nice pass percentage of 61.45, Shashtri teachers had 50.56%, TGT non medical 36.36% and language teacher of 36.40% .
The clearing of TET is essential in Himachal to get the job for teachers in the government institutions.
