PAU STUDENTS MESMERIZE THE AUDIENCE AT YOUTH FEST

Ludhiana, November 10, 2016: During the ongoing Inter-College Youth Festival at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), the participating students swept the show with their musical and theatrical skills. The student artistes demonstrated their singing skills in music items and acting skills in mime, bhand, mimicry and one-act plays. They touched upon various social issues, conveying a strong message of freeing the society from all evils and following the righteous path in life.

Dr Rakesh Gupta, Students’ Welfare Officer, YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan, was the chief guest of the occasion. Applauding the youngsters for their mesmerizing performances, he exhorted them to be multi-faceted personalities. “Youth is the future of our nation,” he said, while asking the students to contribute towards nation building by becoming disciplined and responsible citizens.

Dr (Mrs) Ravinder Kaur Dhaliwal, Director Students’ Welfare, PAU, said that the prize distribution ceremony would be held tomorrow on November 11. Dr Om Gauri Dutt Sharma, Deputy Director General, Doordarshan Kendra, Jalandhar will be the chief guest.
