OBJECTIONS: Over agenda/notice of AGM of Lud Aggarwala Coop HBS Ltd

Ludhiana, December 15, 2012: Aggar Nagar Welfare Society, Ludhiana has raised certain objections on agenda/notice of annual general body meeting of the Ludhiana Aggarwala Cooperative House Building Society Limited, Aggar Nagar, Ludhiana.

The AGM is scheduled to be held on December 16.

In a representation to the Assistant Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Ludhiana (West), it has been stated that “as per agenda point No.2 of the notice, proceedings of AGM of March 13, 2011 will be read to the members of the general house. It is important to state here that the proceedings of last meeting is required to be approved by the general house instead of simply reading before them.

As per agenda point No. 6 of the notice, detail of income and expenditure account upto March 31, 2012 will be read before the general house. It is submitted that it is the audited balance sheet and audited income and expenditure account by the audit department of cooperation which needs to be put before the general house and required to be approved by them.”

Further, the representation demands that “Audited balance sheet and income and expenditure clubbed with that of the Tagore Public School (A unit of Ludhiana Aggarwala CHBS Ltd.) as audited by the cooperative department is required to be put before the general house, which has not been done since 1988.

The same needs to be approved by the general house instead of just a plain reading before them.

Exact period of balance sheet and income and expenditure should be mentioned, which has not been done in the notice. Merely last date has been mentioned in the agenda.

Copy of the clubbed audited balance sheet and income and expenditure of the society and school should be circulated alongwith the agenda so that the same may be studied by every member before the meeting.
