FAKE CURRENCY: Keep vigilance -Ferozepur DC

Ferozepur, October 30, 2012: All the banks and police officials jointly should work to completely stop the circulation of fake currency, said Dr. S. Karuna Raju, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur in a meeting of bank and police officials.

Deputy Commissioner said, in case any fake currency notes are found on withdrawal at the ATM, the concerned branch manager of the bank will be responsible and legal action will be taken against him. 

All the bank officials were directed to make arrangements for installation of CCTV cameras in the banks and at ATMs from security point of view.  They were also directed to install currency checking machines and in case four fake currency notes are from a person, an intimation to this effect may be given to the police and in the event of finding more than 5 fake notes, FIR may be lodged with the police.  He said, no currency note should come in circulation in the market without checking with the machine in the bank.
