Non-Teaching employees protest against Punjab government

Jalandhar, October 13, 2016: A dharna by Non-Teaching employees of DAV College, Doaba College and HMV College under the directions of Private College Non-Teaching Employees Union, Punjab (Aided & Unaided). The union demands raised by state president Mr. Madan Lal Khullar and he asked that their long pending demands have not been fulfilled by the Punjab Govt. as the Non-Teaching Employees of Government Colleges had been granted revised pay grade w.e.f. 1st December, 2011 but the Non-teaching employees of the aided college is waiting for the notification. He also condemned the attitude of the Punjab Govt. in this regard.

On dharna Mr. Raman Behl, President HMV College unit said that the state government is not taking required steps to fulfil their genuine demands like notification of revised grade pay/scales w.e.f. 1st December, 2011, lifting of ban for the recruitment of Non-teaching employees, notification of enhanced Medical Allowance and House Rent Allowance w.e.f. 01/08/2009, implementation of Earned Leave and Leave Encashment to the Non-Teaching Employees of the affiliated college of GNDU, 4:9:14 step-up increment, CCA, Rural Allowance, Pension and Gratuity.

On this occasion, Secretary Ravi Maini, Pankaj Jyoti, Manohar Lal, Rajit Uppal, Rajiv Bhatia, Renu Bala, Shashi Arora, Seema K. Joshi, Sonia Kumari, Gurjeet Kaur, Bhajno, Saroj Arya, from DAV College Unit president Manav Rakhra, Secretary Ram Chander, Nathu Ram, Sansar Chand, Narinder Ninda, Ravinder Kalia, Doaba College Unit Secretary Daler Singh, R.P. Yadav were also present.
