10+2 RESULTS: Education Minister Punjab Orders Action Against 5 Principals Showing Poor Results

Mohali, May 17, 2016: The Education Minister, Punjab, Dr.Daljit Singh Cheema today patted teachers showing good results on the back and started the evaluation of each school after holding meetings with the Principal’s district wise.
In the first meeting held in this regard at Senior Secondary School, 3B1 Mohali, Dr.Cheema met Principal’s of 36 schools situated in Mohali district and said that though this year’s 10 + 2 result of Mohali at 80.7 percent is better in comparison to the previous year, but still the results of Government Senior Secondary Schools at Pandwala, Khizrabad, Mundho Sangtian, Jaraut, Handesra and Nada were not up to the mark and left a lot to be desired.
He also took serious note of the failure of 12 students out of 15 belonging to science stream of Nada school apart from unsatisfactory result exhibited by subject teachers in some schools. He also ordered initiation of departmental action against 5 Principal’s showing bad results besides 11 subject teachers.
On this occasion, DPI (Secondary Education) S. Balbir Singh Dhol and District Education Oficer (Secondary Education) S. Mewa Singh Sidhu were also present.
