Ludhiana, February 6, 2019: Department of Neurology recently organized “Neurology Update 2019” under the aegis of Punjab Medical Council & Ludhiana Chapter of API with the topic of Changing Trends: Neurophobia to Neurophilia at College Campus DMCH, Ludhiana. Event was formally inaugurated by Dr Sudesh Parbhakar, Former HOD Department of Neurology PGIMER , Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Vice-Principal & Chief Cardiologist- Dr GS Wander, Dean Academics Dr Rajoo Singh Chinna, Medical Supdts. Dr Ashwani Kumar Chaudhary & Dr Sandeep Sharma were also present on the occasion. Secretary DMCH Managing Society Sh Prem Kumar Gupta in his message conveyed that DMCH is committed to develop Neurosciences including stroke intervention, Deep brain stimulation and advanced Epilepsy Surgery like services to be provided to the patients at affordable cost. Chief Organizer Dr Gagandeep Singh, HOD Department of Neurology extended warm welcome to the dignitaries and participating delegates who were present on the occasion. In his address Dr Gagandeep said that Neurology Department of DMCH is providing state-of –the art facilities to the patients who suffering from Neurology disorder and aliments. The main purpose to conducting this Update to enhance the knowledge and share the expertise of the speaker with participating delegates. During the event topics related to Headache, Acute Stroke and Epilepsy Management were discussed and experts from different part of the state were share their experiences. The event included the lectures, panel discussion and case based discussion to make it more interactive. The event was attended by more than 150 delegates.
