N.C.C Training Camp at K.M.V. Officially Starts with Opening Address by C.D.

Jalandhar, June 27, 2018: N.C.C Annual Training Camp of 2 PB (G) BN NCC Jalandhar which is being conducted at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Heritage and Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar officially began with the opening address by camp Commandant Col Jasbir Singh, who welcomed the cadets to the ten day training session. He emphasized that learning was a lifelong process and inculcating a disciplined routine on daily basis was one of the prime objectives along with other aspects of training. Highlighting the importance of the duties of a good citizen he said that doing it with sincerity and in the right spirit was imperative. Col Jasbir Singh also brought out the fact that every cadet is a student but every student cannot be a cadet. What made a cadet different from a student was that both were learners but a cadet learned to perform and to live together with diverse kinds of personalities and hence was bound to be more successful in life. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi said that she was proud to see so many young girls of the district who were willing to bare extreme heat for both mental & physical training. Empowering women was K.M.V’s vision and she was delighted to it being realized through the largest Youth organized run by the Indian Army i.e N.C.C.
