Municipal Corporation Ludhiana to organise e-auction for 7 new parking sites on Sept 7

Ludhiana, September 1, 2016: The Municipal Corporation Ludhiana is going to organise e-auction for seven new parking sites on Thursday. The e-auction will take place on September 7 where bidders will participate online followed by which new parking sites would be allotted to the qualifying contractors.
The e-auction is being organised for the parking sites, including Sidhwan Canal till Ferozepur Road Octroi Post (reserve price Rs 5 lakh), Model Town Extension market (reserve price Rs 5 lakh), Orient Cinema opposite police station BRS Nagar (reserve price RS 5 lakh), Jagraon Bridge to Sherpur Chowk (reserve price RS 10 lakh), Bhadhaur House opposite AC market, below Lakkar Bridge and old GT Road below central bridge and Kapoor Hospital to Rekhi Cinema Chowk (reserve price Rs 10 lakh), Mall Road (reserve price Rs 7 lakh) and below Gill Chowk Bridge opposite Rishi Dhabha (reserve price Rs 2 lakh).
According to the officials, when they had floated tenders for starting the procedure 12 contractors had come forward but after technical evaluation 2 were rejected and now in the e-auction 10 contractors can participate.
The contractors who qualified include M/s Arjun Yadav and Company, M/s Raja Abbas and Company, M/s Jugnoo Engineer and Fabrication works, M/s Baldev Singh and Company, M/s Radha Raman Contractor Pvt Ltd, M/s Munish Kaushal Contractor, M/s Manoj Kumar Sidhana, M/s Sonu Enterprises, M/s LRY Labour Contractor and M/s Sachin Sharma.
MCL Commissioner, Ghanshyam Thori said that new parking sites will be allotted through e-auction on September 7 and these contractors will also have to take care of conditions like e-ticketing and detailed printed tickets to avoid over charging.
