MGSIPA ORGANISES NUKKAD NATAK ON RTI ACT IN VILLAGE BULLEPUR
Ludhiana, November 2, 2018: For creating awareness amongst the masses about the Right to Information Act 2005, the Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA) Punjab, Zonal Centre, Patiala today organised a Nukkad Natak at village Bullepur of the district. This programme was organised in association with the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and was attended by former sarpanch and former panchayat members, village administrator, besides a large number of village residents. The Nukkad Natak was performed by artists from Manav Sewa Kala Manch, Bathinda. Mr Amarjit Singh Sodhi, Project Coordinator, MGSIPA Zonal Centre Patiala, briefed the audience about the benefits of RTI Act 2005 and stated that this act has brought transparency and accountability in the working in government offices. He said that several such Nukkad Natak’s are being organised in different parts of the state so that people are made aware about this act. He said that if any person wants any information related to RTI Act 2005, they can contact their office. Subject Expert Mr Yashpal Manvi, retired Assistant Director, Punjab School Education Board, also addressed the gathering.
