Jalandhar: The importance of Mathematics has never been greater than now as mathematical skills are crucial for a wide array of analytical, technological, scientific, economic and soft skill applications. In order to develop these skills of the students, Cambridge International School celebrated Maths Week from November 7, 2016 to November 10, 2016 in the school premises.

Students of varied classes participated in various events in the week- long celebrations which enticed everyone towards this subject. Maths stalls were put up in the quadrangle for Grade 1. Many maths activities were arranged for students of grade 2-8 like Maths in Art etc. Grade 9 students did Model Making . All these events were organized at different venues to encourage 100% participation. Games Stalls were organized for classes 1 to 4 by Grade 10 students.

The primary objectives of the Maths Week Activities were to encourage young learners to get involved, dispel Math phobia and create a love for the subject and these were in perfect sync with the objectives of our very own Maths Department. The resounding success of the activities is the outcome of tireless efforts put in by our students, ably guided by the Maths Faculty and well supported by the school management.

LWES Chairman Mr. Ajay Bhatia, LWES Deputy Chairman Mr. Deepak Bhatia, Executive Director LWES Mr. J.K. Kohli, CEO LWES Dr Birjesh, Director LWES Mr. Nitin Kohli, Chief Education Officer LWES Ms. Deepa Dogra, Directors of Education LWES Ms Meenu Huria, Ms. Preeti Sharma and Director and Principal Ms. Kiranjoth Dhillon appreciated this effort made by Maths Department to promote the awareness regarding Maths subject and the utility of promoting this subject at school level.
