MANISH TEWARI pays obeisance to Sant Isher Singh

Ludhiana, March 24, 2013: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Manish Tewari today paid obeisance at Gurdwara Nanksar at Manjhila Jhordan near Jagraon on the occasion of the hundredth birth anniversary of Sant Isher Singh.

He was accompanied by former ministers Isher Singh and Milkiat Singh Dakha and Ludhiana District Congress Committee president Pawan Dewan.

On this occasion Tewari also sought blessings from the present Head of Gurudwara Nanaksar Sant Baba Ghala Singh.

Paying obeisance to the great Saint, Tewari said, Sant Isher Singh Maharaj had set a spiritual path for the humanity and generations of people were getting benefitted by His spiritual blessings. He said, the teachings of the great Saint were more relevant in today’s world than ever and that is the reason that people thronged to this place in hordes and multitudes.

The Minister said, there was something holy and spiritual about the sacred land of Punjab that great saints like Sant Isher Singh Maharaj had blessed it with their spiritual light. He said, no matter how much the modern civilisation progressed, our spiritual values remained the same as these were preached by our great saints and teachers hundreds of years ago. He said, if Punjab and the Punjabis had progressed so well whether in India or abroad, it was because we had the blessings of the great saints like Sant Isher Singh.

Recalling his experiences, Tewari said, he had learnt so many miracles having taken place with the blessings of the great Saint that an ordinary person may find difficult to believe. “But that is the greatness of such great Saints who make extraordinary things happen in quite an ordinary manner”, he remarked.
