Management Students and Avon Ispat & Power Ltd Interface

Ludhiana, February 19, 2016: Avon Ispat Group is the only company in the world with an infrastructure for processing of slabs to hot rolled coils to cold rolled coils to tubes, bicycles and rims under one roof. M.B.A Students of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana visited the manufacturing unit accompanied by the faculty member Prof.H.S.Dhall (Asstt.Prof) and Dr.Navdeep Kaur(Asst.Prof.)
Sh.V.L.Sehgal Chief General Manager (HR&Admin) Avon Ispat& Power ltd. along with Er.Satvir Singh Incharge plant welcomed and interacted with the students. Thereafter, they took students along with them and provided information about the three units including R& D department. The students came to know that production plant is extremely sophisticated automatic computerized plants located at Ludhiana for manufacturing cold rolled coils (7500 TPA) and steel tubes(36000 TPA) not only to cater to the steel requirements of the group companies but also supply quality raw material to the other bicycle and auto compononent manufacutreres.With forward integration, the group has to set up a highly sophiscated imported robot controlled rim plant to manufacture best quality rims for all kinds of two wheelers. Students visited four units including Research and Development department of plant where they came to know that how the parts are tested in a well controlled simulated environment before it is put in to the market.
