Jalandhar, October 30, 2015: Lyallpur Khalsa College of Engineering in commitment to enhance academic upliftment of students had organized guest lecture in Department of Applied Science by Professor (Dr) Balbir Singh Kaith, Chemistry, NIT Jalandhar. Dr.Kaith delivered lecture on the use of smart polymers in agriculture. In his lecture he provided an insight to different milestones in agricultural development of India and its ultimate effect on ecology and environment. Students were excited to here the use of smart polymers and hydrogels to overcome the problems related to overuse of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in agriculture. Director, Academic affairs, S. Sukhbir Singh Chatha and Director, LKCE, Dr.Y. S. Randhawa addressed media and students that Lyallpur Khalsa College of Engineering is committed towards students and will continue to organize such academic programs in future as well. Dr. Munish Aggarwal, head of Applied Science Department, welcomes the guest. On this occasion faculty members Dr. Pawanpreet Kaur, Dr. Jaspeet Kaur Bhatia, Ms. Deepika Marwaha, Ms. Ramandeep Kaur and Ms. Kuljeet Kaur were also present. Dr. Munish Aggarwal encouraged students to participate in academic programs and thanks management for providing opportunity to organise this learning academic session.
