First list of candidates to be out by February 7 evening
Chandigarh, February 6, 2018: In wake of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation elections, Punjab BJP president has on February 7 called for a meeting of the state election committee at party headquarters in Chandigarh at 10am. The names of candidates for the civic body polls will be finalized in this meeting.
The first list of candidates is expected by February 7 evening.
In a press release issued here, state party secretary Vineet Joshi informed that after inviting applications from the prospective candidates of the Ludhiana district unit, core group incharge for Ludhiana MC polls, Manoranjan Kalia interviewed all the applicants in presence of the district poll committee for two consecutive days.
