Ludhiana, September 17, 2014: H S Phoolka, Senior Advocate, has said the Hosiery Units of Ludhiana supplied substantial hosiery products to Kashmir which is suspected to have washed away in the flood. The loss suffered by hosiery units is estimated between Rs.50 crores to Rs.100 crores.
In a statement here today, he has to treat these hosiery units as flood victims. He added he has written to Chief Minister Punjab in this demand and demanded that a Collector level officer be appointed to assess the loss suffered by these hosiery units. After assessing the loss the state government should send a loss report to Central Government and demand a relief package for these units treating them as flood victims”, he said.
