LUDHIANA CITY TO HAVE BEST QUALITY ROADS & BASIC INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE STATE: ASHU

Ludhiana, April 28, 2018: Punjab Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashu today stated that Ludhiana city would soon have the best quality roads as well as the basic infrastructure as compared to other cities of the state. He said that the Punjab government is committed for overall development of the state and he being a cabinet minister is making sincere efforts for the development of Ludhiana.

Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashu said this while laying the foundation stones of several development projects in different parts of the city. He was accompanied by Ludhiana Mayor Mr Balkar Singh Sandhu.

Today, the minister inaugurated the start of road re-carpeting works as well as some other development works in Road along Nullah near Joshi Nagar (ward number 81), Kohinoor Park (ward number 74) and Shaheed Karnail Singh Nagar (ward number 70) areas of the city. New roads are being re-carpeted with a cost of around Rs 45 lakh in ward number 81, with cost of Rs 42 lakh in ward number 74 and with cost of Rs 86 lakh in ward number 70 of the city.

Mr Ashu informed that all these development works would be completed soon. He said that a formal blueprint for the overall development of the city has already been prepared and all these works would be carried out in city in a phased manner.

While addressing the gathering, the Cabinet Minister said that he served the city as a municipal councillor trice and that is why knows the ground realities. He said that for the last more than two decades, he has been in active social life where he has been committed for the betterment of society.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included ex councillor Mr Hem Raj Aggarwal, councillors Mrs Rashi Aggarwal, Mr Maharaj Singh Raji, Mr Pankaj Sharma, Mr Dilraj Singh, besides several others.
