Jalandhar, August 3, 2016: The nascent kids of Innokids – The Pre- Primary wing (GMT, Loharan and Cantt Jandiala Road) of Innocent Hearts School celebrated Teej festival with full glory and colour.
The school wore a festive look as staff and students were attired in traditional Punjabi outfits. The whole campus was beautifully decorated with swings hung from trees where students and teachers swung and cherished the moment. The whole environment reflected Punjabi culture with traditional articles like bagh, phulkari, charkha etc. Everyone was overwhelmed with the preparations and creativity of Mehndi by the girls of the school. Giddha-the heart and soul of Punjab was performed by the teachers and the students of the school. It is an important medium to convey their heartiest thoughts and messages. They danced on cultural songs with a joyous mood to welcome the sawan.
Innokids Incharge Mrs. Gurmeet Kaur – G.M.T., Mrs. Alka – Loharan and Mrs. Neetika Kapoor – Cantt. Jandiala Road mentioned that we should engross ourselves with Punjabi culture and preserve our rich cultural heritage. On the whole it was a wonderful and enthusiastic celebration.
