Lecture-Cum-Workshop Under DBT Star College Grant

Jalandhar, February 3, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized a lecture-cum-workshop under DBT-Star College Grant on ''ECG, CPR, Dialysis and briefly on Diabetes''. It was organized by the department of Zoology. The speakers for the occasion were Dr Sanjay Mittal, a renowned super specialist in the field of neurology and Dr Anwar Khan, a renowned name in the field of Cardiology. Dr Mittal explained in detail about dialysis with the help of haemodialysis machine. He showed steps of blood purification pathway and listed precautions for dialysis patients. Dr Mittal at the end listed various symptoms of kidney failure and conditions that lead to kidney transplantation. Dr Anwar Khan, an expertise in cardiology showed images of normal and abnormal ECG waves. He also showed slides about placement of electrodes in 12 lead ECG. Dr Khan stressed on Bradycardia, its diagnosis, symptoms, treatment and preventive measures. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of Zoology department for organizing such awareness lectures which are beneficial for the students as well as for the faculty also. Mrs Sadhna Tandon thanked the resource person for enlightening the students with such relevant topics.
