LAUNCH: Uttam Galva Steels launches India’s widest galvanized corrugated sheet -5 ft

Ludhiana, January 3, 2013:Uttam Galva Steels Ltd. (UGSL) – one of India’s largest manufacturer-exporter of cold rolled and galvanised steel products has launched India’s widest galvanised corrugated (GC) sheets measuring 5 ft that will benefit the consumers in terms of cost effectiveness and durability.

Manufactured with world class technological expertise, these GC sheets are stronger and longer lasting than any other ordinary GC sheets. Currently the widest GC sheets available in the market are of 4 ft. The significance of 5 ft GC is that it is a value for money product which offers substantial savings to the consumer.

It will benefit to the consumer in terms of lesser number of sheets required for same coverage area as compared to normal GC. Also with lesser number of joints, the requirement of accessories will reduce which translates into around 20% savings per sq ft of shed erection. The specific application for 5 ft GC will be roofing and wall cladding.

‘The demand for GC sheets is growing at the rate of 2 to 3% CAGR’, said Ankit Miglani, Deputy Managing Director of UGSL. ‘We anticipate a steady increase in demand for 5 ft GC sheets. Uttam Galva’s GC Sheets are made of virgin steel processed at Uttam Galva Steel's state-of-the-art complex located at Khopoli which makes them resilient to all weather conditions .In addition to this, Uttam’s GC sheets are ISI certified under Bureau of Indian Standards(BIS) (IS 277).
