KVS “Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat Parv” to manifest unity in diversity under one roof
To Celebrate the Unity in Diversity of our Nation and to maintain and strengthen the fabric of traditionally existing emotional bonds between the people of our Country, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is going to organize a mega cultural and literary youth extravaganza KVS “Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat Parv” at the India Gate Lawn No.6 in New Delhi from 31st October to 03rd November 2019. The 4-day long mega event will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister for Human Resource Development Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank in the presence of many prominent attendees. This cultural MahaParv is expected to gather more than 2300 participants from 25 regions of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. The main objective of the event is to showcase the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat’ and also to promote the Cultural &literary skills of students through various competitions. Further, it also provides a platform for teachers to express their talent in performing and visual arts. This year four contemporary theme-based exhibits have been incorporated in the KVS “EK Bharat-Shrestha Bharat Parv”, Fit India, SamagraShiksha& Jal Suraksha, Ban on single-use Plastic, Swacch Bharat. National unity and integrity is the epic theme of the 4-day long KVS festival. To add on pleasant flavors of Indian culture and traditions, participants from all 25 regions would be paired to represent another state different than their own. The concept behind this is to celebrate the idea of India as a nation wherein different cultural units across varied geographies coalesce and interact with each other, this glorious manifestation of diverse cuisine, music, dance, theatre, movies & films, handicrafts, sports, literature, festivals, painting, sculpture, etc. will enable people to imbibe the innate chord of binding and brotherhood. KVS “Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat” Parv will display more than 28 lively events. The opening ceremony will be initiated with Shobha Yatra followed by Competitive events, Cultural Competitions, Theme based exhibition, and Language and Literature Fest respectively. This mega-event is a broad platform for the students to display their creativity, originality, artistic skills, etc. In this process, they overcome many challenges, linguistic and geographical barriers and awaken a strong sense of national pride and widen their horizons with a better cosmopolitan outlook. “Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan ‘Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat Parv’, aims to actively enhance interaction between students of diverse cultures living in the different states of India, with the objective of promoting greater mutual understanding amongst them. For reciprocal interaction between the students, all the 25 regions of KVS are paired with states different from their own state and also a country. It is envisaged that through this exchange, the knowledge of the language, culture, traditions, and practices of different states will lead to an enhanced understanding and bonding between one another, thereby strengthening the unity and integrity of India.” Said Santosh Kumar Mall, Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan “He also added, “This year, for each day a contemporary theme-based exhibit have been incorporated in the Parv, On an inaugural day our theme is Fit India, the second day it’s Samagra Shiksha & Jal Suraksha, the third day it’s on Ban on Single-use plastic and at concluding day it’s Swachh Bharat.“ It’s a great opportunity to impress upon people at large about the increasing inter-connectedness between the constituents of various cultural & economic zones which is so vital for the spirit of nation-building. The KVS wants to convey the message of Power of Unified India through this opportunity by felicitating participants and audiences a chance to get to know their motherland with a real interaction from people of almost different demographics and comfortably get acquainted with their culture.
