Knitwear Club delegation to meet FM

Ludhiana, August 22, 2012: A delegation of Knitwear Club, Ludhiana under the leadership of Sunil Jakhar, Leader of Opposition in Panjab Legislative Assembly is soon going to meet P. Chidambaram, Finance Minister  to discuss about the withdrawal of excise duty which was imposed in the general budget of 2011.

The Club feels that the industry is already in financial crunch and facing various problems, and the imposition of the excise duty is an additional burden on the industry.

It has raised the question of existence of the industry.

Those who will accompany the delegation included MLAs Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Surinder Dawar and Rakesh Pandey.

The Knitwear Club delegation will comprise of Darshan Dawar (President), Vinod Thapar (Chairman), Narinder Miglani (General Secretary), Rajinder  Bhushan  Maini (Senior Vice President), Jaswant Takkar (Senior Vice President), Luxmi Gupta (Vice President), Ashok Poplay (Joint Secretary) and Tarun Jain (President,  Bahadur Ke  Road Association)
