Jalandhar, November 23, 2015: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar was visited by the Ashraya Scholarship Mentors from America. 20 students from the Dept. of Commerce, I.T., Science, Maths and Fashion Designing got Ashraya Scholarships and 06 students got scholarship under Bruck Family Scholarship Scheme. It is worth mentioning that an amount of Rs. 4 lacs per annum is given as scholarship. It was a privilege for KMV to have in the midst eminent donors from the U.S. which included Mr. Inder Sud, Ms. Peg Sud, Mr Douglas, Mr. Barbara Kline, Ms. Sandy, Mr. Steve Silver along with the local mentor Mrs. Manorama Mayor. Madam Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi welcomed the eminent dignitaries and expressed gratitude to them for their contribution to the cause of women empowerment and education. The students availing from Ashraya Scholarship this year are: Harjot Kaur, Nitika, Manjit Kaur from B.Sc. Sem I (Non-Medical), Jasmeen, Navneet from B.Com(R) Sem I and Jaspreet Kaur, kamaljit Kaur from M.Sc. (F.D) Sem I, Ghardeep Kaur (M.Com) Sem. I are getting Scholarships under Bruck Family Scholarship Scheme this year.
