Extension lectures organised at Guru Nanak Dev University

Amritsar, April 17, 2015: Department of Library and Information Science of Guru Nanak Dev University organised two extension lectures by Prof J. A Amaraweera, former Librarian of University of Buddhism & Pali, Sri Lanka. Prof Amaraweera in his lecture spoke on "Online Searching Strategies- and Automation in Libraries/Digital Libraries”. The thrust areas of' his discourses were how to find effective information from the internet using various search techniques and emergence of digital libraries. Dr. Amritpal Kaur, Professor & Head of the Department welcomed him. Dr. M. P. Satija introduced him and Dr. Asha Narang presented a vote of thanks. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
