Jalandhar, July 2, 2018: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, the Autonomous & Heritage institution, Jalandhar’s PG Department of Fashion Designing is all set to launch a new platform for students to provide them entrepreneurial exposure. The students will now have an opportunity to sell their self-made products online on Amazon.
Prof.Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal KMV averred that in this connection a photo shoot of KMV students was done in a professional manner. This photo-session served a multiple purpose. It inculcated confidence in students to pose as professional models. Moreover in this world of cut-throat competition we must present the best to the prospective buyers and remain at par with the market and its trends. This photo session by professionals served the above said purpose too. Prof. Dwivedi appreciated the models and maintained that they had done full justice to the job assigned to them. She further adumbrated that the products sold by us online will be innovative and quality products and will also be reasonably priced. Such entrepreneurial ventures will provide substantial exposure to the students and will also help them excel in their craft. She congratulated all the teachers of the department for their exceptional initiative. It is worth a mention here that KMV is successfully running Vocational courses like B.Voc Textile Design and Apparel Technology, B.Sc. Fashion Designing, One year Diploma in Fashion Designing and Textile Design after +2. This year KMV has started PG Diploma in Textile Design too. The infrastructure is state-of-the-art with a huge Vocational Block. The department can boast of top university positions.
