KMV Pays Homage to the Pulwama Martyrs
Expresses Solidarity with the Families of Martyrs Jalandhar, February 15, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar paid an emotional tribute to the CRPF martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their motherland in Pulwama terrorist attack. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi along with the faculty and the students of the KMV observed a 2 minute silence for the departed souls. The whole KMV family took a pledge to preserve the sovereignty and integrity of the country and to eradicate all the anti-social elements from the society. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi while addressing the gathering averred that the whole country is in the grief due to this heart wrenching incident and KMV family is also standing strongly in this moment of grief with the whole armed forces and with the families of all the jawans who have lost their lives. She further maintained that our country is challenged from both internal as well as from external enemies, and it is the duty of every citizen of this country to protect and preserve the integrity of our nation and to maintain the communal harmony in the country. She further averred that KMV - the glorious institution which is draped in patriotic fervour, the students will continue to make colossal endeavours to protect their motherland. In the wake of this tragic incident, it was announced that KMV Carnival 2019 which was scheduled on Feb 16 was postponed. It will now be organized on Feb 25, 2019.
