Mysore, April 8, 2019: NIE Institute of Technology, Koorgalli, Mysuru, marked the beginning of a new venture as it inaugurates CSI branch for 4th & 6th semester students of Information Science & Computer Science Engineering department.
The CSI Student branch at NIEIT was inaugurated by Prof. K. Chidananda Gowda, Former Vice-Chancellor Kuvempu University. Prof. Archana N.V, Principal , NIEIT, Sri. Veerendra Kumar Chairman, CSI - Mysuru Chapter, Smt. Aruna Devi, Vice Chairperson, CSI- Mysuru Chapter and Smt. Anitha Venkatesh Past CSI- Mysuru chapter along with Smt. Usha M.S, HOD-CSE, and Sri. Sudeep J, HOD-ISE were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri. Veerendra Kumar, Chairman, CSI-Mysuru Chapter stressed on the need for students to associate themselves with organizations like Computer Society of India and about the different activities of CSI. He also emphasized on the significance of organizing different tutorials, seminars, conferences and projects from which the student & faculty community can benefit.
Prof. Archana N.V, Principal, NIEIT delivering the presidential address, advised the students to write project proposals and apply for project grants to build a career for themselves.
Chief Guest, Dr. K. Chidananda Gowda, delivered a keynote address on “3 Types of Intelligence“and future opportunity for Artificial intelligence and educated students about various career opportunities.
