KMV organizes an Extension Lecture on Role of Statistics in Psychology

Jalandhar, November 11, 2018: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Jalandhar's PG Department of Psychology organized a two day extension lecture on the topic "Role of Statistics in Psychology''. Eminent Professor Dr Navdeep Singh Tung from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar was the resource person for this educational venture. During the lecture, Dr Tung threw light on the role of statistics in Psychology for B.A. as well as M.A. Psychology students. He also emphasized on the important topics such as meaning of statistics & its types, the importance of hypothesis in Psychological research, how to use correlation in Psychology etc. Students were enriched with these essential topics and their relationship with Psychology. It helped them to attain greater concept clarity and to have a clear vision about the Research Methodology in Psychology.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of the faculty of Psychology Department and also stressed the need to organize many such events for the enhancement of knowledge of students at large.
