KMV Hosts N.C.C BEE Cert Practical Exam

Jalandhar, February 6, 2016: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar girl cadets from 21 institutions across Jalandhar gathered to take the annual BEE Cert Practical Exam. They were tested in diverse fields like Drill, Map Reading, Weapon Training and F.C. B.C.(Field Craft, Battle Craft). Around 250 cadets enrolled in institutions under 2Pb (G) BN NCC Jal took the practical exam. By giving practical training in these fields NCC aims at producing civilians who are already groomed for a career in the Armed forces or in the paramilitary forces. It also aims at producing youth who can help in Civil Defence during wartime or natural/man-made disasters. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi observed that such activities not only empower women, but also improve the bearing and personality of youth and hence are an important aid to education.
