Chandigarh, November 13, 2015: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr.Manohar Lal Khattar would be the chief guest in the State Level Cooperative Day celebration to be organised at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Kosli, district Rewari, on November 20, 2015. Minister of State for Cooperation, Mr. Bikram Singh Yadav will preside over the function.
While giving this information here today, Managing Director, Haryana State Cooperative Development Federation Ltd (HARCOFED), Ms. Poonam Nara said that Cooperative Week will be observed in the State from November 14 to 20, 2015. The main topic of the Week this year is “Sehkaritaon Ke Madhyam Se Make in India”. During the week, symposiums would be organised and institutions would provide information about their activities to its members.
On this occasion, various departments and cooperative societies would organise an exhibition of their products. She said that cooperative members would be encouraged to observe this week as ‘Swachhta Abhiyaan’.
Ms. Nara said that the main aim of organising this function was to attract the interest of general public towards the cooperative movement and provide them information about the facilities being provided through this movement. At present, there are 29,000 cooperative societies functional in the state, she added./ (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
