Jalandhar, March 22, 2013: Local BJP MLA Manoranjan Kalia has raised the issues concerning to this city in the Punjab Assembly. He demanded that Jalandhar should be included in the Safe City Project.
Also, he demanded flyover on Kapurthala Chowk to minimise the traffic congestion. He also sought that the project of International Bulton Park Cricket Stadium be built out of the funds reserved for creating infrastructure in the state.
Kalia, also a former Punjab Minister, requested the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to take up the matter with the Railway Ministry for building a Railway Over Bridge or Railway Under Bridge at 7 points namely Tanda Road, Chugguti , Bashirpura, Dakoha, Dhanowali, Ladhewali Road and Chandan Nagar in the city.
