KACHEHRI Adda in Dharamsala to have face lift: Sudhir Sharma

Dharamsala, July 27, 2013: Kachehri Adda is the central place in Dharamsala, where almost all the government offices, government and private institutions and commercial establishments are located since the British era. By the passage of time, the space in the area has reduced due to rapid urbanisations. Now the Himachal Pradesh government has decided to uplift the area by providing additional facilities.

“One old depleted building in the area shall be dismantled to give space to built one multi story parking and commercial complex and a park and place for children and senior citizens to roam about ,” said the Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Minister Sudhir Sharma. He said a sum of around Rs. 2 crore have been sanctioned for the project and the foundation stone shall be laid by him on August 2 this year.

He said that this complex will have a café/catering area and a park too.
