JUSTIN TRUDEAU VISIT- RESOLUTION MOVED IN PUNJAB ASSEMBLY

Ludhiana, March 3, 2018: HS Phoolka, MLA, has moved a resolution in the Punjab Assembly. According to a press release issued today by Phoolka further says that this resolution has been filed in the office of the Assembly on 1st March 2018 and will be taken up in next session of Assembly. In this resolution he (Phoolka) has proposed that Punjab Assembly should thank people & Government of Canada for providing homely atmosphere to people of INDIAN origin in Canada.

Phoolka has further proposed that the Assembly should pass recommendation to Punjab government to accord due respect to any high official or Minister of Canada visiting Punjab.

Phoolka has alleged that due to unthoughtful actions of Punjab Government there has been two major fallouts. Firstly, it has endangered prospects of about 80,000 to 90,000 Punjabis migrating to Canada every year. 40-50 thousands youth from Punjab go to Canada every year on study visa & equal number go on other visas i.e. family or Permanent Residents (PR). Secondly, Canada a super power today can help Punjab in the fields of education, health, farming, environment etc. Punjab lost this opportunity.
Another major fallout is that Khalistan issue had almost died down, but the manner in which government handled this, today Khalistan issue is being talked about at international level. In the past this issue has never got this much publicity.
“Will ask Government of Punjab to explain in the House why it has caused such a great damage”, said Phoolka.
