A Combined Annual Training Camp being organised at Jalandhar from September 29 to October 8 by the 21 Punjab Bn NCC Kapurthala.

Jalandhar, October 9, 2013: A Combined Annual Training Camp was organised at Jalandhar from September 29 to October 8 by the 21 Punjab Bn NCC Kapurthala.
The aim of the camp is to instill confidence among NCC Cadets and provide them a launching platform where they can sharpen their skills, so that they can be better learned and disciplined persons who will contribute towards the society and social development of our nation.  This combined Annual Training Camp was organised under the Command of Col Shri Kant.  
A total of 383 NCC Cadets (Both JD & SD) participated in the camp.   Training in various NCC subjects was imparted to develop the qualities of fellow feeling,  camaraderie,   team spirit,   leadership traits etc.    
The camp also imparted training to selected RDC cadets of Jalandhar Group which included Drill, Flag Area Theme, Cultural Programme and selection of Best Cadets in each wing.   These selected cadets will finally participate in inter Group Competition at NCC Directorate level in November 2013 and the final team will participate at Republic Day Parade at New Delhi.
Group Commander Brig GPS Sandhu visited the camp on October 6 and inspected the camp area, where he interacted with all the cadets.  He appreciated the state of training and administration and asked the cadets to put in their best in all camp activities.  Elaborate arrangements were made to make this mammoth camp a great success which has continued with revived energy of the youth till the last day of the camp 08 Oct 2013.  During this Camp various Training activities have been organised viz Drill Weapon Training, Physical Training, Firing of .22weapon, Sports competitions, lectures on motivation and personality development, a Painting competition, Tree plantation was carried out by the cadets.  Further 60 Cadets took out a rally on Wildlife protection week, 200 cadets participated in Rally organised on the occasion of  “Day of the Girl”
Valedictory ceremony was organised on Tuesday, in which the closing address was given by Col ShriKant.  A cultural programme was also organised followed by prize distribution. www.cityairnews.com
